Sister this is a wonderful and inspiring study  :inlove: It is a study not only of what the scriptures say, but the study of what is written on and in our hearts. You said, "I think I am afraid to be afraid!" and this I can truly understand along with the opposite also, "I am afraid to NOT be afraid". Sounds confusing!   but it is worthy to note that once we place our 'fear/s' in the right direction, the next thing we heard is "fear not"...

Here is a verse to consider:

Gen 31:42     Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked [thee] yesternight.

'the fear of Isaac' = the one whom Isaac feared

Psa 25:14     The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psa 72:5     They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Psa 103:11  For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Psa 103:13  Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Pro 14:27     The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Pro 19:23     The fear of the LORD [tendeth] to life: and [he that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Isa 8:12     Say ye not, A confederacy, to all [them to] whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear  ye their fear, nor be afraid.

Isa 8:13     Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread.
