In seeing the beginning passage in a spiritual light I had difficulty with the word made in "God made two great lights." If the "greater light to rule the day" is the Sun...Christ, then saying He was "made" doesn't sound correct for He is God. God isn't "made." However I found it means He was "made flesh."
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Judi sister, this is so in line with something I was reading today! The word made and Jesus, you explained that wonderfully for me
