Even these virtual forums are a type of "market place." Would prefer real contact, but that seems to be out of vogue in our day! 
I believe forums are The market place of end times.
Great topic and the Scribes are in many forms..but they all claim the knowledge of God and come to bring others into their mindset..away from the Lord.

The world in the Christian communities are filled with blind guides, teachers of the Law they claim and they do not know the ways or the words of God though they bring many teachings in the name of God and they convert more into their mindset and make them sons of Hell.
We as Christians can not be as trusting as we have been in the past...but trusting solely the spirit of God and his words directly in the bible. The fruits of the spirit lets us know who are of God and who is not...and some times this takes a little while to see through one's character if they are of God.
As we go further into the times of trouble, we are going to see more professing Christians and Jews who are not in the truth. We who hold on to the truth will be hated by these professing Christians and Jews who claim the Lord..wisdom and the spirit of God will take us through.
Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word. "YOUR BROTHERS WHO HATE YOU' and exclude you because of my name, have said, "Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy! Yet they will be put TO SHAME....
66:6 Hear the uproar from the City? Hear the noise from the temple? It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve. Before she goes into labor, she gives birth before the pains come upon her she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing?
We are the sons being delivered the Sons of the living God the verses above are concerning the time we are entering into. Many of our brothers and sisters are going to come against the truth of what our Lord has shown us and teaches us they will say they are magnifying the lord attacking us but the Lord says these have become his enemies and will destroy them at his appearing...and the birth will come for the sons of God to be born in one day...and who has ever seen such a thing? (verse 8) yet not sooner is Zion in labor than she will give birth to her children..(the son born in a day)
Our king is coming hold on to your crown and let no man take it from you..
