So my only thoughts on staying out of it completely is that children are then being taught that there is no God. If they would leave it at "natural science" and leave disproving God out of it, that would be a different story.
Yes, we must fight these evil ideas with all our might. But we must be careful how we go about it. That's what I'm saying. Steven Hawking is a very bad influence. We need to point out the weakness in their arguments. They are backward thinking and foolish to believe that there is no God and creator. They seek to destroy intelligence in the name of intelligence.
They are penny wise and pound foolish.
We need to continually point to the truth with the wisdom from above...not argue natural science. We are to try to reason with them with the mind of Christ.
We cannot entrust the education of our children to the state. Our children must be the leaders of the future. We need to invest everything into them! Then God can unleash them to make a difference in the world. Once we are firmly established in the truth we can penetrate the oikos (household) of the world and devil who runs it and save some.
