Thank you seven...it did! I think it just helps to be able to "talk" about it.
One of the things that has really been difficult is having to sit on the sidelines, as she is out there defending the faith. She has grown tremendously, especially with her very first job. She ended up working around some very lost people and she was the only light at the workplace. She got teased, questioned, and harrassed at first, and then we get to see the fruit begin to take root from her witness. Some loved who she was, some didn't understand, and some were curious, but it definitely was her first venture out in her faith. She told us that she was concerned how she would hold in the faith, once she got out in the world. She said she was glad that she stayed in the faith. She did well. Her 2nd job is a bit more difficult, as she is working around a lot of teens that are like those I mentioned who were old friends...kids that are in the church groups and think that because they belong to a youth group that they are Christians, even though they do not follow Jesus at all in their lifestyles. It really is astounding how many kids do not know WHO Jesus really is, and what a Christian is supposed to act like. They are really bothered that my daughter has not gotten into fleshly and worldly practices that many kids today do. And it is harder for her at this job than the previous one, because at the previous one the kids were gothic and lost, and the witness was easier for her. She is having a harder time with "churched" kids at this 2nd job, because they are not behaving as you would think a Christian should behave...and they are contentious toward the fact that she is different and has been homeschooled. It has been rough. She really has been tested and confused that these are church kids and yet she can't find fellowship with them...it makes her cry sometimes.
In His Love,
Suzanne
