The picture you have in your mind of the planes of gravitation and the circular rotation of the planets around the sun is off; it is wrong.  The sun itself travels through this universe in an arm that extends from the Grand Sun *Saggitarius A at a speed upwards of 200,000 MPH.  This solar system of planets is following the sun.  It is very hard to picture that in your mind.   We are in a vortex.  The gravitation is not pushing us down, gravitation is pulling us to the center.  The sun is light trying to escape a black hole.  The earth, mercury, mars are held in place by the forces between the sun and Jupiter, Saturn.  We are sosososo tiny.  The earth itself is a debris covered black hole.  The center of the earth is a small sun.  Volcanoes are coronal mass ejections.
The sun itself has an axis, it spins.  And scientists studying the sun came up with the 11-year cycle.  Every 11 years it reverses the axis which reverses the spin.  That has caused the ice age, the medieval warming period, the little ice age which ended in the 1700s, and now we are at this point in history.  You know, the people that lived during the end of the 1700s were so smart, so wise, much much wiser than we are.  Why?  Everything that we are using to live by now was invented by them.  We perfect their inventions.
