It took Jacob to try and reconcile with Esau, strive with God and man, to gain the name Israel...now add in brother's post..
Eze_20:5 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;
Isaiah 10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
House of Jacob is to be ruled over always...the remnant of Israel and some that are escaped of the house of Jacob..escape the need of being ruled over?
