me2lord, it is such a fine line between warning our kids and scaring them into not living their lives.  We have been forthright with them as far as watching the events unfolding in our times.  I just am unwilling to tell them that we are THIS CLOSE to turmoil.  I am just glad that they are still home with us, so that when the time comes, we can still counsel them and they can come with us (wherever the Lord leads us to?)
In His Love,
Suzanne

good morning dear sister,

It is a difficult situation to try to help our children understand the times we are in and it does depend on what the level of maturity is for them.

We have read scriptures to all our grandchildren (6) of the promises from the Lord where the Lord speaks of the Kingdom of God and the wonderful scriptures that give reference to this along with the verses that speaks of the Lord bringing our children into the Kingdom.    Telling them this life will end and all these wonderful things will take place because the Lord has this power and will do  as he  says.

When our Lord told me of tribulation I prayed, asking for verses  to help me understand and was shown many  scriptures to help them understand as well as myself.    They are all okay with things, in fact the 9 yrs old keeps asking when will this happen and we told him this year and he's been telling his friends about it...go figure?   :inlove:

Though, I have spent the last two years reading the verses  to them that speak of the kingdom of God here on earth and discussing this with the my adult kids and their children about God and His plan.  In doing this we are giving them the same hope we have.  It always amazed me how quick these little ones accepted it and were happy about it and seem to be so receptive to all of it...is amazed me and made me smile.   We know this has helped stabilize them in an unstable world we are living in.   lol

All of how I approached this came through Christ to us because we sought him in helping us  in this matter of the End.  Our Lord Jesus wanted to comfort us and has, though the fullness of what is ahead for us we are not in full understanding of but we know that we trust Christ and we are depending on staying in prayer to him and his leading us through this.    The children have been instructed on communicating with the Lord for the Lord has shown the children he is real and with them.

My son and his wife just came and spent 9 days with us for vacation and their 16 yr. old Joseph, came and sit down on the bed with me and started talking about verses he had been reading in his private time at home and all the things the Lord has shown him...he spoke so matter of fact on the End as God's peace was upon him,  I just listened with a smile upon my face as God is revealing much to him.. he knows about the trouble upon the land, which was interesting because I don't remember getting into all that with him...all I can say is "God is good"...lol

Suzanne I know how much you love the Lord and have raised your children the way they should be raised just from the times you've spoken about them.   Jesus will help you understand and will show you what to say to help them understand what is needful that will actually give them comfort in all this...all it takes is a prayer to him on this matter. lol

Jesus has given us is the hope  we are all going to be together in his kingdom that is soon to be established here on the earth and speaks of our children being with us that has become godly offspring through us.

Mal 3:15  Has not the Lord made  them one?  In flesh and in spirit they are his.  And why one?    Because the Lord is seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.

Joel 2:15  Blow the trumpet (7th) in Zion declare a holy fast, call a "Sacred assembly"  (those God has chosen for the kingdom)
16.) Gather the people consecrate the assemble; BRING THE ELDERS, GATHER THE CHILDREN, THOSE NURSING AT THE BREAST, Let the BRIDEGROOM LEAVE HIS ROOM AND THE BRIDE HER CHAMBER.

Isa 43:5  Do not be afraid for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the North, "Give them up!" and to the South, Do not hold them back.   Bring my sons from afar and my daughters FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH---everyone who is called by my name whom I created for MY GLORY WHOM I FORMED AND MADE.

Our children and their children are godly offspring whom we have raised for the Lord, the Lord speaks many verses on our children coming into the kingdom of God.

Hope these verses will give you encouragement and uplift you in the Lord's work he is doing with those who love him.

In Christ's love

the father said he was sending the tribulation through the seed of Ishmael  and they are camped around us now.  Trust the Lord in the times of trouble that is near to all of us.   The Lord is coming.
