Great post!!!
I have been working on this area in my life.  It is hard to have anything with the stuff I cant or shouldnt have in my food I should be eatting.

I cant have foods with soy of any kind in it...or cotten seed....really!  Try and find any kind of foods that doesnt have it....good luck, ya!?  I cant have these and other things because of my thyroid health is harmed from them by eatting it.  So one thing at a time I dont inorder to take one of those things out of my diet!  Like I drink clean ran water, and spring water...and am working on getting stuff to make those areas easyer.  When I am on completely the rain water, I will then get mineral drops to but in my rain water for good health.  I cant even drink the tap water because of what is found in it, bleach and floriad being two biggies!!!  I worked in a pool cemical factory and came down with a lunge infaction from the bleach that was in the air, and each time I even small it I get headacks and feel like I am going to throw up.  nasty!!!  I make my own bread most of the time.  And if I can ever get to the point of having my own place, I will have a garden so I can make an can my own foods.  That way I will be able to control what goes into me better!
I was soooo exsited to find that Silk Almond milk at Wally world (walmart) doesnt have anything I am not aloud to have.   to208  I shop mostly at a place called Aldi's and for the most part, I havent seen any organic foods their, so I have to read everything, and because we dont have a lot of money to work with, I do end having some stuff in my diet.  When I dont keep an eye out for that stuff, my thyroid swells and the glans around  it swells making it hard to eat anything at all.  I have even started making my own soups though because of that, as well as to much salts!
