Staring in the garden Adam walked and talked to the Lord, but he started listening to the voice of his wife over God's. Adam stumbled and disobeyed the Voice in the Garden that spoke to him.
Gen 3:17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life.
Adam brought a curse upon all men because he did not obey the Lord's Voice telling him not to eat the fruit of that tree. Adam brought a curse just Even brought the curse of pain during childbearing on women. Because neither listened to the Voice of the Lord, they both were cursed. Does your spouse hinder you from listening to the Voice of the Lord? It is real, because I have been tested in this in my life and my husband is converted.
The Lord hears the voice of the unconverted people as well as the Converted
Gen 21:17 God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
The Lord heard Hagar's son crying as he had been placed under a bush to die as Hagar had left the camp of Abraham's because of Sarah's hardness on her and her son.
Gen 21:19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the skin with water and gave the lad a drink.
In another place the Lord makes a promise of what He will do for those who obey His Voice.
Exd 19:5 ‘Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine,
Exd 23:20 “Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
Jesus also told us this same thing in John of preparing a place for us who listen to HIS Voice.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am.
21 “Be on your guard before him and OBEY HIS VOICE; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.
22 “But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
What a wonderful promise We who are in the Covenant have knowing the Lord will be an enemy to our enemies and an adversary to our adversaries, we can count on this.
As we go into the time of tribulation very soon here remember this promise of Our Lord and know he will deliver us from our adversaries, Ishmael's seed, the Assyrians and all those kings of the End. We have the power of the Lord Almighty who has designed this plan of us for the Last Days and we need to adhere to HIS VOICE and trust the One who speaks to us.
Be encouraged in the Lord's words to those who listen to his Voice.
