The Stone at the Door of the Sepulchre

There is so much contained in this passage....


Mark 16:2-4 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, "Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?" And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

• "At the rising of the sun" - Rising of The Son
  
  "They came unto the sepulchre" - as do we when we face our deaths
  
  And ask "Who shall roll us away the stone" - how is the great stone rolled away from the door of our death for our sins are great?

The Son rolls it away when we see as, "they saw," when we're given eyes and ears to understand.

• Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

The "great earthquake" speaks of the great awakening, bringing us out of our graves....

• Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, (4-5) Again He said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
  
  37:7-9 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to His bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said He unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
  
  37:10-13 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. Then He said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves,

The great stone the Spirit of the Lord rolls away keeps us from understanding, from hearing and seeing His truth. It is the same great stone keeping many in their graves today.....

• Genesis 29:2 And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.

The field is the world (Matthew 13:33) and the well that waters the sheep is the living water giving us life. A great stone is upon that well's mouth in the world today keeping souls from hearing His Words and the door to their graves closed. His Spirit entering us is the earthquake (we are of the earth - made of clay) that shakes us awake...rolling the great stone away.
