It's been very trying  cz012  but I know just like others I have done that if I keep at it is will turn out good and I might even like it too.

I had to stop so many times because It was getting muddy, oh soooooo hard.  I want to move fast, control the paint better, but it is sooooo hard.  so I started a diffrent one as I wait for the first one to dry some so I can work on it.  That one muddied up as well cz012

So ready to pull my hair out, and feeling bad about my self.  I didnt go to bed at all last like, just right o church.  As I was putting my hubby's suff in the jeep, I heard G-d tell me to turn around and look up...really!  I then seen a over cast said looking sky.  I hard G-d say watch...and he started to work on it.  I was getting what he was pointing out right off but truelly injoyed seeing his master peace come to life as the sunrise took place right before my eyes.   Wow....wish you all could have seen it.  I knew that he was saying to me to keep at it, and it will come around to be beautiful.   cbcizz006   I love those moments@

Awesome revelation! Beautiful  Wish I was there to have seen it.

Anyway, that's why I gave up oils, I too made them muddy... I would keep noodling at them and didn't know when to stop and then suddenly I would realize...  :confused0068: YUCK! a102

I do miss the smell of turpentine, though. cz048

In the end I switched to acrylics... they dry fast and there is no time for noodling the paint... and I employ a technique of translucent layers to create a rich affect and everyone thinks my fine art paintings are oils, but they aren't.  It fools them. Cz1111  LOL

I love acrylics, they can be used in ways water colors and oils cant.  though you can use oils with some water color technique but I love acrylics because as far as I know you can use them with both oil and water color techniques and they spray them for protection, and keep them out of the sun.  I only with I can aford the better brains then just store bought cheap ones.  O'well!

I took a nap and had dreams of painting... o the cravings!

I must admit though that my hubby did is first painting on canvise and I was a bit green....lol!  He is overly good and most things he puts his hands too, and without all the studing us normal people do.  I think he got in line a second time fore more talents when G-d was handing them out!  He loves showing off to me, but I love it all in a way.  He is almost finished with his painting and will be giving it as a love gift to that 80 year old man, it is of the man and is dead son, it as taken on the old mans birthday, right before is son died.  It is good too...cant wait to see the mans face.  He invited us over to eat dinner with him when the painting is done.  We all sould get into doing love gifts for others.  Its fun   cbcizz007
