The Prophecy of Habakkuk is for Today!

This prophecy shows that God permits evil, as happened to Judah, but I believe it speaks of the latter days...the days in which we live. When reading this chapter I was struck with how it is as reading current newspapers....

Habukkuk asked the Lord

Habakkuk 1:1-4 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and Thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto Thee of violence, and Thou wilt not save! Why dost Thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

• We see this happening all around us on local levels (in our families, schools, neighborhoods, cities) as well as on a national level...spoiling, violence, strife and contention. We cry to Him....does He hear? If not....why?
  
  It is interesting to me to see, "the wicked compass the righteous...therefore wrong judgment proceedeth." In our nation that has never been more evident than today. Our political system and courts make decrees that are ludicrous and...their judgment stands. Common sense has been turned upside down...the wicked compass the righteous and the law is slacked...is feeble.

Our Father answers Habakkuk

1:5-6 Behold ye among the heathen (non-believers), and regard (pay attention), and wonder marvelously (be astounded): for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not their's.

• Who are the "Chaldeans," the "bitter and hasty nation?" Who marches through lands today...taking what isn't theirs? Who has invaded Europe...France, England, etc. setting up worship places to their god...all with the approval of the governments? Who, at this very point in time, is being given permission (by our leaders...the wicked compassing the righteous) to build a mosque near the site of the very towers they destroyed...the site where thousands died at their hands because of their god? They are marching and possessing what isn't their's.

1:7-9 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves. Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

• Deuteronomy 28:49-50 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:

1:10-11 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

Habukkuk answers

1:12-14 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, Thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, Thou hast established them for correction. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest Thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

• Proverbs 30:27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;

2:1-3 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."


The vision was for an appointed time. Was that time 9/11/01? What tower(s) are we, as His witnesses, set upon to watch? When the towers fell did you know that something had changed...forever? He warned, "regard and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you." He told us...do we believe?

Thanks for posting Habakkuk.  I have been reading  Habakkuk and see it as an End time prophecy of God sending the Chaldeans who are the ancient Babylonians descendants that are upon the earth now.

The other place I differ with you a little is the heathen is those called of God who have not obeyed.   God calls them the heathen.  It is not a big deal our differences and I am not here to cause trouble in any way...    these are just the way I read it. 

I like the NIV on Hab 1:6  I am (Christ) raising up the Chaldeans/Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people who sweep across the whole earth.

Rev 6:2  I looked and the before me was a white horse, it's rider held a bow and he was given a crown, and he rode our as a conqueror  bent on a quest.

The Chaldeans/Babylonians that ruthless people the Lord has given a crown to are bent on a quest to take over the whole earth to punish Israel for their denying Christ as the Son of God.  (Luke 19:43-44)  They are to make atone through the shedding of their blood according to God in Issiah's prophecy

The Chaldeans are a part of the End time prophecy of Ishmael that the rider on the white horse is, the rider bent on a quest to take the control of the world and they are around us now and will do so here shortly.   The Chaldeans settled in America in the Chicago area  starting in the 1920's.   They have grown to a multitude that is greater in our nation than those of the early settlers.  Obama is one of the kings of the 10 kings and all this will come forth this year.  I know this because the Lord has already told me they would take me captive.   We are going into the birth canal.  and we have 1260 days once the Beast enters into the wing of the temple.   

the Chaldeans  are the majority here in America and will soon take us captive that the revelation of Habakkuk will be fulfilled.  The  good news in all this is that our Lord will bring up through this and raise up the dead. Habakkuk speaks about the dead rising up and a they destroy the Chaldeans/Babylonians at the end of the 1260 days.   Trust the Lord through this time and he will not forsake us who have loved him and loved one another.  He will bring us through and raise the dead just as he said he would on His returning to set up his kingdom here on earth.

Zephaniah 1 is a chapter to read that will be fulfilled at the time of the Lord's coming...and it is very scary to realize those who say the Lord will do nothing and have sinned against the Lord will face an angry God.   The bible is full of the time of the Lord's coming to earth and details of what is going to take place with those who have not obeyed the Lord and have become the heathen.   

I am glad to see you are listening to the Lord's words and know that there is more to the end than the doctrines we have all been taught...it is quite different than the Priest or Pope of the Catholic church...being the beast, the man is from the seeds of Ishmael who is coming up from the dead.   King Neb  is the last one say the Lord to crush Israel before they become sin free.  Jer 50:17-20 when he set up the kingdom.

I hoped you would see this thread Me2.  I thought of you as I was writing it as so much of what you have been teaching is on the pages of Habakkuk.

I don't think you could ever "cause trouble."  It's just not in you.     Please explain why you understand "heathen" as you do.  I always saw them as worshippers of other gods...unbelievers.

   you're so sweet with comments..it just takes all of us some time because this is different and the Lord has kept all these verses of the End sealed from all of us till the End was here.   Dan 12:4,9 and other places God tells us this directly...and none of us have read it.  so many pious teachers are stumbling around not willing to change their ideas and re read the verses being revealed to us in the newness of what they really are saying...so I know, I have had to re-read and re-read and praise the Lord I see more clearly now....

  This will take more space to give the verses so I will get back to you on this with the verses.   This because clear to me when I noticed the Lord calls his people harlots and wicked and  other names because they do not listen to the Lord and it makes the Lord mad and he punishes them...the Lord gives his warnings to Israel under the curses for not obey him what they will face in the last days...that generation for disobedience to him.  This is what the tribulation is about for the most part.   Hope I am not feeding you too much to quickly I need to find the verses again.  I will post it under the heading The wicked are not the worldly people..or something like that and you will know it easily .

  I know,  it is hard for all of us because we have been so sure what we knew was right because of previous pious teachers and it seemed right...but now the Lord has shown me he had it all hidden until the End was here, I have really be diving into the bible re-reading all the prophecy again..and the prophets like Isaiah, through Malachi all speak on the end times and what will take place...and the commentaries have it all as happening with Alexandra and Antioch in their time and it is not so...who would believe that?  I do but had to humble myself and trust the Lord....as I feel safe now with HIM...amen.


If I can encourage you please trust the Lord, he will show you, the spirit of God is in you and as the Lord told us the comforter would teach us all things..I John 2:27  John 14:26  confirm this truth and I walk in the faith with it...

Just as the Lord is showing you Habakkuk, believe it for it is the spirit of the Lord upon you..and we are heading into captivity very soon before this year is over and we have to be ready and not be afraid...our Lord is with us and he will take us through....he promised us this.   

Gotta run but I will be back maybe later tonight... love your heart in all of this...and the Lord's work in you....don't let any man have your crown...it is waiting for you and the Lord is ready to give us eternal life...it is just incredible that this is really happening...WOW!

Oh precious sister in Christ... the Lord is moving on me in my time is drawing near to depart by captivity...I am hoping it isn't before summer is over...but he said I would be taken before the leaves fall off the trees...I have known this for a while...but Our Precious Lord recently told me it is coming this year.   We are the soldiers of Jesus and we are going into a time of war that will continue until the Lord comes, and we are going to see things we are not familiar with, but the Lord is good and he is with us, who have been faithful and have loved one another...he will bring us through...
