Who Resides In The Millennium?
« on: August 29, 2010, 06:19:52 pm »

Proverbs 2:21-22 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

This passage caught my eye this morning. It shows exactly what to expect in the millennium.

The upright, the righteous people...including those that may not have believed in Christ but lived a good life as a good soul "shall dwell in the land." They will be taught during the millennium. They must be tested again to see if, in the eternity, they "remain in it."

The perfect are God's elect, His firstfruits....those that have been perfected to be in His image. They "shall remain." They have already been, "called, chosen, justified and glorified." They are the priests of God, those of the first resurrection, and they shall teach the "upright."

Then we have the "wicked" and the "transgressors." The wicked are "cut off" from the rest of God's children, the upright, symbolically referred to as earth...for we are made of earth. The wicked are not yet disposed of but they are not with the upright. They come back into the picture at the end of the millennium.

Revelation 20:7-9 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, God and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

The "nations" are the upright and are still prone to deception...as we all are in this age.

That leaves us with the "transgressors." They shall be "rooted out." These are the tares! Poisonous weeds in the garden of God. Plucked up and thrown away.

   ..........there are a few different teachings on who comes in "After" the Millennium...I will share one with you this is "JUST" my opinion...I am not 100% accurate on it, just what I have personally read and placed together, but  I have left myself open to receive  other verses and people's thoughts on it... grin

In the O.T  Isaiah speaks of others coming into the Millennium who have been the enemy to God's people.  It doesn't appear to be all of them, but a portion. It is stated in one place the Lord said he would make Israel's enemies bow down at their feet in the kingdom of God.  So there has to be this fulfillment of God's words to take place at the beginning of the Millennium.

David gives some insight in his prayer to God in  Psalms 72 of the Millennium and Christ reigning

Ps 72:9 Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him,
 And His enemies will lick the dust.

10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles
 Will bring presents;
 The kings of Sheba and Seba
 Will offer gifts
.

11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him;
 All nations shall serve Him.

Zechariah gives insight when the Lord comes there will be survivors that will come up and keep the feast of tabernacles during the Millennium

Zech 14:16  Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty,
 and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.  If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty they
will have no rain.  If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain.

Isaiah 45:14  Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

These verse tell us when the Lord Almighty is here on earth reigning,  we, the eternal  Priest and Kings of God  who have eternal life are in Jerusalem, the temple, and those outside the city gates will come and keep the feast...we administer God's government as we will also be judging angels as I Cor 6:2-4 tells us.

The bible also speaks of others that will be destroyed at the Lord's coming, these who the Lord did not allow to survive...It is all the Lord's choice, not ours.

There is so much to read in the bible on who the Lord will bring into the Millennium, and it is quite different from the teachings we have been hearing.  But soon the truth of everything will be made known to the whole world... :dance:

that right!   there are still the sinner outside the area of the new Jerusalem and these have not been given eternal life but the life span has been extended to the age of trees, no longer the 70 yrs given now to man.

Isaiah 65:20  No more shall there be in it
an infant that lives but a few days,

or an old person who does not live out a lifetime;
for one who dies at a hundred years will be considered a youth,
and one who falls short of a hundred will be considered accursed
.

21 They shall build houses and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22 They shall not build and another inhabit;
they shall not plant and another eat;
for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,
and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They shall not labor in vain,
or bear children for calamity;
for they shall be offspring blessed by the Lord—
and their descendants as well.

24 Before they call I will answer,
while they are yet speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
the lion shall eat straw like the ox;
but the serpent—its food shall be dust!
They shall not hurt or destroy
on all my holy mountain,

Give us a good insight to what will take place in the Millennium and the age of those who are survivors given to be in it will live to be really old like Enoch and others...that is being established according to these verses...  but the eternal life if for the elect those who live in Jerusalem with the Lord.

In Christ's love

the father said he was sending the tribulation through the seed of Ishmael  and they are camped around us now.  Trust the Lord in the times of trouble that is near to all of us.   The Lord is coming.

Proverbs 2:21-22 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

This passage caught my eye this morning. It shows exactly what to expect in the millennium.

I went back over Proverbs today and yes...it does have a lot being told to us..two groups..the upright must be those who are given eternal life who shall dwell eternally in the land...

Then the perfect shall remain in it...another group...those the Lord has brought in that serves his purpose for the Millennium...

This may sound strange to you,  :confused0006:  but the more I read this last year, I am seeing in the scriptures that God has had all these generations of people come forth to choose out of them...a people for himself for the Millennium...a  1000 yrs upon the earth that includes our offspring that are sanctified and made holy through us..that has been pleasing to the Lord to bring them  into the Millennium to eat off the tree of Life, which heals the nations..there is many who our Lord has decided to bring in that doesn't fit into our theology in our understanding for the most part.

The 1000 yrs appears to be the time given to our offspring and others the Lord brings into the Millennium to learn about him, and the earth is governed by the Lord and his chosen as the government...that is as far as I have gotten into the scriptures in understanding what our Lord is actually saying...

Isaiah say in one place:   Isa 45:11 This is what the Lord says---concerning the "THINGS TO COME", do you question "ME" about MY CHILDRENOr give me orders about the WORKS OF MY HANDS

The Lord is speaking to his chosen people in the Millennium and he says further down in the verses of Isaiah 45:12-14  that he created all things and HE will raise CYRUS UP IN HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS...  a man who took Israel captive towards the end of the 70 yrs of captivity starting with King Neb, then Darius and then Cyrus...  also people like Rehab who hid God's people ....there are many things our Lord mentions in the bible that brings a deeper meaning to the Proverbs verse you quoted...the  perfect shall remain...

I am beginning to see we as Christians have missed a lot of what our Lord speaks in the bible thinking all have to believe in Christ to be in the kingdom of God..but that is not so according to all the verses I am reading and what the Lord speaks directly to us about certain individuals who did good before the Lord in their acts...though they were NOT CALLED OR IN COVENANT WITH HIM...but please God in being good to his people in some ways...

Thought I'd share that with you...I am not sure what happens at the Great White throne judgment but it seems those who did not have a calling and did good come into the Millennium to have a 1000 yrs to know the ways of God...and at the End those who turn against God are destroyed forever..but the Elect as Jesus says that have been made Priest and Kings have no fear of the 2nd death during the Millennium..so death still takes place with the perfect and even to the point of total destruction by God...except for those given eternal life.  interesting isn't it?
