The scribe's pen...
« on: September 21, 2011, 09:59:23 pm »
Jer 8:8 How do ye say, We [are] wise, and the law of the LORD [is] with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he [it]; the pen of the scribes [is] in vain.

* the words vain in this verse..sheqer: lie, deception, disappointment, falsehood, deceit, fraud, wrong, injurious in testimony
The verse is literally saying "the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely??

I can only image some will say that the writings of the scribes and their pens in this verse are referring to something else besides parts of our bible...

So what do you do with a book that is the inspired word of God..every word placed in it is inspired to be there and yet God inspires a scribe to write in it that the word/s are telling us a LIE?

That's like a parent saying to a child, "I'm going to tell you a lie in just a few minutes <just giving you a heads up  grin> now go find the lie!

Some people say "oh no no the scribes did it! it's all their fault!"...

Read the verse again...

the pen of the scribes [is] in vain.   The pen is the liar! the pen takes the blame, not the scribe!

Should you throw away your bible...or throw away your thinking and understanding of it? Approach the written word with God inspired confession of "I'm going to tell you a lie, now see if you can find it!"

If you're not willing to throw away your bible then stand firm on this...

2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

Stop blaming the scribe and remain steadfast in believing that God moved the pens to have every word in it's place, just exactly how He intended it to be...

You say okay, but God doesn't lie...

You would be right...Cause He is honest enough to tell you when He does, before He does...

2Th 2:11   And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

prepare yourselves!  cz010    He is going to tell you such a awesome story that you will get so caught up in it and maybe that you will forget that He has told you that at some point in this story He is going lie!

Mat 18:3   And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

YAY! story time!!!  :party0006:   AND EVEN BETTER! there is hidden treasure in this story time!

Pro 25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter.
