A Stone of Stumbling

Isaiah 8:13-18 Sanctify the LORD of hosts Himself; and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread. And He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth His face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for Him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.


The Lord dwells in His elect so His elect are the spiritual...mount Zion. They are His signs and wonders. His elect are those that "sanctify the Lord Himself," and He is our "sanctuary." A sanctuary in which we dwell.....

• 1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.

But, to those that do not "keepeth His commandments" He shall be a "stone of stumbling" to both houses...the house of Israel (Christians) and the house of Judah (Jews). Why? How? They don't have the truth...the truth of the Messiah or who the Messiah is. In the end of days the fake comes first pretending to be Christ and many believers will fall into apostasy...Christians and Jews.


The other group mentioned is...."the inhabitants of Jerusalem." To them He shall be a "gin and snare." (snare - in which wild beasts are caught.) These "inhabitants" are not of either houses of Israel (Christians or Jews) but rather are "residents of Jerusalem." Are they the "wild beasts" now living in, residents of, Jerusalem?


There we see the literal Jerusalem and the "wild beasts" living there but there is a deeper meaning. Spiritually Jerusalem is symbolic of God's holy city, His children...believers. As His "very elect" or "saints" are mount Zion, the city of Jerusalem is the church. As there are now folks residing there (wild beasts) there are also spiritual wild beasts (false teachers, preachers...pretending to be Christian). They shall be "broken" (shattered, crushed.)"



Those that are misled "shall stumble and fall and be snared and taken." All from deception. They shall be, are being, taken in, conned, deceived by the antichrist....

• Matthew 24:40-42 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

We must know that our Savior comes after the working of the fake (and he/they are hard at work now)...we must wait (not fall into apostasy) and continue to do His work in the field, (the world).

• 11 Thessalonians 2:6-8 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

The "spirit of His mouth," is the Holy Spirit working, teaching, guiding His witnesses so they speak His Words. His Words are the fire in their mouths that consume His enemies....

• Revelation 11:3-5 And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

for what it truly is (without candycoating!). There are many lies circulating amongst christians (as taught by beasts), that
there are no requirements or commandments from the Lord concerning obedience... that all has
been done away with and this is completely untrue. Those who love Him, obey His commandments.

The problem that I see though is that many people would agree with what you've presented,
yet fail to recognize the dividing line between God's children and beasts. In particular, I cringe
when I witness christians who have so much truth concerning believing obedience to God, yet
cannot grasp the fact that national government(s) is/are entirely corrupt, wicked and a ravenous
beast in the eyes of God. They are "religiously" patriotic, believe their govt is chosen and can
do no wrong...ie-that God is behind their reaonings for war etc.

Whether a person is inclined to believe me or not, the Lord has shown me what these beast's
appearances are in His sight. They are the most cruel, evil, despicable, blood thirsty, ravenous
creatures EVER, in the history of mankind! So many think that the bygone days were much
worse but in God's eyes, these are the most wicked of days and will grow even MORE wicked
in the days to come. I'm speaking the truth, EVERY government on the planet is evil and corrupt
in the sight of God, EVERY. Not one of them are genuinely submitted to Him and instead are fulfilling the
lusts of their father, Satan.

I do not say these things as a pretext to rebellion or suggest that a christian must ENTIRELY
separate themselves from the nation in which they reside, for this would be impossible. It is
however, a christian's responsibility to SEPARATE themselves, MORALLY from evil cultural norms
and practices! Knowledge along with wisdom is power and authority. The (Godly) priests and prophets of
old had the discernment between good and evil, the holy and profane... and they walked in the
authority God intended them to walk.

Why is this so important? Because our God is a HOLY God, He is unique, distinct and separate
from the ways of the world AND calls His people to be SIMILARLY distinct, unique, uncommon
and HOLY unto Him.

I agree with much of what you said Kim.  Governments are corrupt and ours is part of the corruption.  As wonderful as our nation is so many of our leaders are doing their best to destroy us....greed, wickedness, evil legislation....all done with a big     saying vote for me!    I still see reasons for wars but perhaps those reasons were put in place by the powers that be.  Satan controls through four "hidden dynasties."  They are so apparent today...

Politics, Education, Finance and Religion.

At this point I don't know if we can turn around....I don't see time to turn.  I pray for our boys in harm's way and I'm ready to bring them home.  Bring them home, close our gates to the world, clean house and pray!

Boy, there are some who try to convince you there is nothing one has to do but confess Jesus as Savior...which is good, but belief does bring deeds and deeds are works by faith....James 2:18-19.   

Yes, Jesus does call us to be holy and set apart from the world..and we must not be like the  world because they express sinful living as normal and accepted socially, but God commands us to come out of this..

Our Father places those that lead the world...the good and the bad.  It is part of our being proven (see Me2Lord's thread - If You Belong to God, You Will Be Tested For All of God's People Are Tested)

Knowing He is in control and, as you said Kim, is calling us out and away from the world, gives us eyes to see the powers at work.  This morning on Fox News they interviewed a man who has written "Crisis By Design."  He outlines how the powers that be have manipulated the financial crisis for the purpose of....one world government, one world control, one world finance.  I have no doubt the book is factual on their desire for global finance and how they caused our present position.

In study this morning I saw a passage that encapsulates both your thoughts, Kim and Vicky, on why this is happening and why we should "get out of Dodge!"

thank you whirlwind and Kim  we are in serious times and headed into to times of trouble Isaiah is speaking about and  there are many Christians who are oblivious to these verses referring to the Christians are one of houses in Isaiah 8  the other house is Jacob...the Christians need to wake up..but their hearing is dull and they are not hearing the LORD'S warnings in this matter of the End.   And the bible is full of the warnings to the Christians that 2/3's are going to perish because God said they would,  he foretold of these things and we read it now.   

I believe in my heart those who read these verses and can't see what is being said by God are the ones who are perishing.  May God forgive me if I'm wrong.

In Isaiah  the Lord says "BOTH HOUSE OF ISRAEL"...this means the Christians too,  we have to realize these words are true and God means both Christian and Jew.

We are entering into times of Jacob's trouble that will end in the Lord's appearing, but great trouble never before known on the earth is coming forth.

Our Lord verbally spoke to  me 3 yrs ago he was sending tribulation and as we are entering into the middle part of the 2300 days.

I believe whirlwind has heard me tell everyone one for a year or more the Lord's message to his people.  It is now becoming more obvious to the children of God we are in times of tribulation.   Be assured the Beast will appear shortly after persecution come forth here this year.  Our Lord said they would take me this year before the leaves are off the trees,  this is how I know it is coming along with Matthew 24:9 is the sign after earthquakes and the sign of earthquakes have been going on for a while now. 

We are so very close to persecution coming forth  the Lord made sure I knew they would take me..but he will be with me and he will deliver those who will patiently endure the hardships until he comes....he is our Lord and he will not forsake us who love him..he loves us very much.

Continue in listening to him, do not trust anyone other than God's Holy  Spirit because he will teach you as he  is now showing you verses to open your eyes to these matters on the End...God will lead you through, and we will be born into the Kingdom of God as promised.   It is real and it is coming.
