!! Had a hard time deciding where to post this! Totally could have gone under fun stuff!!
Today was the first day at a new job. Now I am sure that many people do these "first days" much better then I do! I soooo tend to stress!! Just from the unknown and all...so end up really exercising the faith!!
Anyway...woke up freaking out and this is the exact devotional given for this very day in a book I have (which I don't read every day....
our good LORD always leads me to good places!!)
A FUTURE YOU DO NOT KNOWYou have not passed this way before (Joshua 3:4)These words were spoken to the children of Israel just before they entered Canaan. For three days their camp had stretched along the low hills which skirt the Jordan River, and on the fourth day the officers of Joshua issued their commands. Joshua himself said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."
As he spoke, the Jews became solemn. Their long journey in the desert was over, and the mystery of an unknown country and life lay before them. When they looked across at the Promised Land, all their pettier life was hushed and they grew serious and thoughtful. It was the impressiveness of a new experience, the departure from the familiar, that made them serious.
In our own lives, it is the discovery of God in life and the certainty that He has plans for us that gives us a true, deep sense of movement, and always lets us feel the power and delight of unknown coming things.
It is good to come to a future which you do not know. It is good if God brings you to the borders of some promised land. Do not shrink from any experience merely because of its novelty. Do not draw back from any way just because you never traveled there before. Oh, my friend go into it without fear! Only, go into it with God, the God who has always been with you. Remember what He has already done for you, and the new life to which He leads you shall open up its best richness to you. For he who most humbly accepts what God already has given him and taught him is surest of the best and deepest blessings which God has yet to give.

, oh yeah I still was....but the Lord provided the courage I needed to go ahead and go. And of course, guess what??? It was an AMAZING and wonderful day and the nervousness was completely gone before I knew it and it was a WONDERFUL DAY!!
