The 4th Dimension:Love -the depths of God
« on: June 29, 2010, 02:56:56 pm »
Eph. 3:14-16 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man;

Eph. 3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18-19 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
(Ephesians 3:14-21).

We can see in 3 dimensions with the natural eye. We see height width and length. What we can't see is depth. Ask someone to draw a tree and you will rarely see the roots in the subsequent drawing. These are hidden from view so they are not included. Ask someone to draw an icebreg. Same thing! People only see the protruding tip in nature so that is what is drawn.

Life has a 4th dimension. This is the spiritual reality where God lives. This dimension is hidden from view. We also live in this dimension with God...but no one can see what nourishes us with divine life. This is hidden from this world. We have a root system in the Lord. We are rooted in LOVE. (Check the above verses again with this in mind.)

The depth of God is the love of God. The Spirit of God is LOVE! When we walk in the Spirit, we are walking in His love!!!!

1 Cor. 2:10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

Rom 8:38       For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39      Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Amen brother, We have a root system in the Lord.

This brings to mind that:

God is love

but

Love is not necessarily God.

IOW, as Christians, we should do what is most loving and best for others, rather than what makes "us" feel good.

If that makes sense?  I see many today who act out of feelings rather than doing the tough things that may REALLY be the love of God....as an example...."enabling" an addict, or coddling a grown child that needs to be maturing.  There are things of the world today, that on the surface, appear to be loving, yet all the while are really the devil's way of "bondage".  Take for instance today's welfare system...people have approved these things initially thinking it was helping those less fortunate, but now it has mushroomed into a program that has created a nation that has become entirely weak and does not know the value of a day's work...it has created sinfully lazy people who feel entitled.  This is NOT the love of Jesus.  Jesus does not cripple people, but rather delivers them and strengthens them.

God is Love

And to practice and walk in true love, is to have the heart of Jesus, which is to have the "best interests" of people in mind...and not what makes us look/feel good or kind.

I do hope that my comments are in line with the topic, but this was something I was strongly lead to post.

In His Love,
Suzanne
